Festivals

This unit introduces 7th-grade students to historical festivals around the world, such as Diwali, Carnival, Oktoberfest, and Day of the Dead. Students read a short informational text, answer comprehension questions, discuss the cultural meaning of festivals, and work in groups through research and creative stations. The unit ends with a choice-based assessment (UDL) where students present their understanding in written, oral, or creative form.
